The first of five new fire stations around the Austin area, the Del Valle/Moore’s Crossing Station is a joint-use fire and EMS station. This design-build project was on a fast-track to meet the needs of this booming population in Southeast Austin. The 13,000 SF, four-bay fire station is designed to accommodate 16 firefighters at full capacity and includes offices, large kitchen and dining area, sleeping quarters, fitness center and outdoor patio. The building was designed to meet Austin Energy Green Building requirements. Behind the fire station is a 6,000 SF five-bay, 24-hour EMS station that includes offices, showers/bathroom, and sleeping quarters. The small metal building alongside the station is an EMS storage building that will house special events assets.
