

The first of a two-phase design and construction process for the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Center on the campus of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), the Ent Performing Center for hte Arts project includes a black box theater with supporting spaces and offices for the academic theater and dance departments, a theater and supporting spaces for TheatreWorks, an intimate 250 seat recital hall in support of the music department, a 750 to 800 seat performance space/theatre, and the Gallery of Contemporary Art.

The project features 40% expansion of gallery space, a new multi-story climbing structure, new café, creative office space, and transformed public atrium. The project includes comprehensive remodeling of 67,000 SF of space, phased over16 months to allow the museum to remain open throughout construction.
