Mission Critical
Mission Critical
We've got your solution in house.
Our 50 in-house MEP engineers provide a distinct advantage for our clients. Working closely with our Virtual Design & Construction department, our teams are able to use building information modeling to enable multi-trade prefabrication of MEP systems and full installation of modular systems. By building these systems entirely off-site and transporting for just-in-time installation, we have had great success reducing the cost and schedule, while increasing quality and safety.
In it together.
There's no substitute for experience, and the specialized requirements and level of detail for sensitive projects make it all the more critical. JE Dunn's prefabrication expertise, up-front collaboration, and familiarity working in active sites without interruption offer certainty of results and shared project success. From giving all stakeholders and design partners a seat at the table on day one to design together—in real time—to testing tech to improve efficiency and safety, the mission critical team brings innovative solutions and an integrative approach to be a better builder, expert, and partner for mission critical facility clients.
A shift in thinking.
A tightening of schedules, budgets, and resources is forcing owners, designers, and constructors to find innovative solutions to not only shorten schedules, but also to reduce the risk of delays. Engineering Services Manager Mike Fernholz presents his solution of shifting the schedule left—performing commissioning activities earlier in the process to save time and money—for Data Center Journal.
Project Spotlight
CyrusOne Data Center

JE Dunn constructed a multi-phased, modular data center for Cyrus One. Phase I includes a 208,000-square-foot data center, the adjoining office support building, and wet and dry utilities to support the ultimate build-out. Along with the construction of the facilities, Phase I includes installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.

QTS Metro Data Center

The Quality Technology Services Data Center is a 990,000-square-foot facility and is the second largest data center in the U.S. It provides mission critical electrical, mechanical, and high capacity network systems.
